ChampionChip Sailing was established by Douwe Rijpkema and Steven van der Bles.
Both have extensive sailboat racing experience and want to offer the sailing world the opportunity to aspire to a higher level by the limited application of electronic equipment in racing dinghies and open keelboats.

The major basic principles are a.o.:

• Upgrading the information from the starting vessel.
• Achieving this by offering affordable solutions.
• Making the sport more attractive for spectators, support staff and media.
• Providing the sailor with the opportunity to review the race.
• Enabling more people to watch races live or afterwards.
• Stimulating the sport at grass roots level by offering a low-threshold product.
